About

Howdy! I am a Latino and first generation college graduate. I graduated with my bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and my master's degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio. I grew up in South Texas in a low income household with little to no support on my college going journey. College opened numerous doors for both my family and me, and since then I have dedicated my life to supporting students receive top notch college going support through the admissions process. I have over 10 years in both college admissions and college counseling work, and continue to do all I can to democratize higher education to those in my community and afar. At home, I am happily married to my husband John. We have a ten year old son named Samuel who we adopted in 2021, and four fur babies - Bailey, Bandit, Murdock & Smokey. I hope to be of great support to you and your family through this multi-faceted yet exciting chapter of your life!

My process

My belief is that students have the capacity to tap into their story and strengths to put their best foot forward in the admissions process. After ten years in both college admissions and counseling, I have worked with over 1,000 students on their journey to college and have honed in on supporting students from different backgrounds, family dynamics and upbringings. In my advising model you can expect 3 things:

1) Finding your strengths/story to build your application around.
2) Strong College List tied to both you academic & social fits/needs.
3) Individualized Support in admissions, financial aid, scholarships and budget planning.

Every student is different, so no advising session will ever look the same! I am confident in my ability to help you craft a story and profile that will stand out amongst even the most selective universities!
