My process

Because of the depth of our experience at Wow, we are able to review essays quickly and efficiently using a checklist based on our ten-step process college essay writing process. When we read any essay, we look for specific information that admissions officers tell us they care about. A college essay should be effective. It does not have to be a piece of literary art. They are not looking for perfection.

When we review your essay, we will want to know: What will an admissions officer learn about you when they are done reading your essay? Does the story answer the prompt with a meaningful, focused story that showcases one or more positive traits or characteristics?

We will make suggestions for improvement in the margins, and we also point out where your essay works well. We read for clarity and consistency, focusing on grammar, spelling, and punctuation. In all we do, it's important to us to keep our reviews positive.

Tips for success
1. Prepare for your first session
Plan out the questions and topics you'd like to discuss. If you'd like to work together in the long term, discuss expectations for each other.
