Should I take SAT?

I am currently studying in university in Turkey. I graduated from high school in 2020 and I am in medical school right now. I am planning to study in US if I get Green Card this year. I didn't take SAT or ACT. So should I take one of them or can I apply with my GPA from high school and my GPA from the first year of university?

I believe if you're studying in a university, then you're most likely going to apply as a transfer student. Since this is the case, you shouldn't need to take the SAT.

I'm not sure if you're going to apply your HS GPA, perhaps someone can elaborate on that, but you should apply your first year uni GPA.

Edit: applying an SAT as a transfer depends on the college.

I would like to apply as a transfer student but the system is different in my country so I will apply for a major in biology. I'm not sure if my first year will be viable.

It depends on the college you’re applying to. The credits might not even transfer, but if they do it might be easier and more well adjusted if you did get your associates, but I believe if you maintain a high enough GPA it could demonstrate that you’re capable of college level work. Now for the SAT improving your chances, it also depends on the college. Some colleges prefer it, even after, but then some don’t. Some are even test-optional, so you don’t really need the SAT even if you were in HS.
