Admissions Advice

For UC schools are you more likely to get in with a high SAT score?

I understand that they don't require it but if you get a high SAT score shouldn't that affect your chances for admission?

All UC schools are currently "test-blind" where even if you submit an SAT or ACT score, they will not consider it as a part of your admissions application, per a recent court decision. They will stay test-blind through 2024. The UC system plans to create a new test that will better score interested applicants by 2025, but if that is not done then they will have no standardized testing requirement or consider any scores. https://dailybruin.com/2020/11/06/uc-to-use-test-blind-admissions-for-fall-2021-following-court-decision
