Just wondering what everyone's spike is

apparently to get into college you need a spike, theme, hook, whatever you want to call it.

I'm curious to see the diversity of CollegeVine user interests.

If anyone has a spike in agriculture, could you tell me what extracurriculars you're doing in relation to that and what you plan to major in? I want to develop a spike in that, but I want to major in computer science or something related to biology.

Hello! mine is Bio/Engineering/Chem/Math/Architecture/Comp Sci etc. But just wanted to clarify, you don't necessarily need a spike, just needed to continue you passion for your extracurriculars to an extent that it makes a positive impact.

Thank you, hope it helps!

I've never seen anyone have a spike in philosophy and religious study! What extracurriculars do you do in regard to those spikes?

This isn't me, but someone else was the moderator for an online philosophy forum for gifted/talented kids, participated in the National High School Ethics Bowl, took philosophy classes through dual enrollment, and founded a Philosophy Club at school.

Honestly a spike isnt an area so much as an idea aka community involvement but said idea could be CS. My hook is community involvement
