SAT

How much did your SAT score change the second time you took it?

I just took my SAT for the first time. Although I haven't received my score yet, I'd like to know how others improved in their scores the second time they took it because I'd like to take it again as well.

Hello!

I just want to say that practice is ALWAYS going to trump over everything else, and it is key towards getting a 100+ improvement! I think that if you usually get anything above a 1400 or a 1450+, then you are in a good zone and don't really need to improve as much for most colleges. I recommend you practice for about ~2 months along with ~5 practice tests if you are planning to take it a second time and want to improve you score.

Good luck to you! I think you did amazing :)

I'm same as @Booknerd_13, my SAT went down 30 points the second time I took it, but my ACT went up by 5. Don't be afraid to take the tests multiple times and don't get discouraged!

I actually went DOWN the second time I took it. But don't get discouraged. My ACT score went up 3 points when I took it a second time. It more about what fits you and your abilities (SAT for English and ACT for math).
