Your passport information will not be required to apply to any colleges.

However, you are definately required to have your passport in hand when seeking a Form I-20, Certificate of Eligibility for Student Status and also your F-1 visa.

Hello!

You will eventually need a visa and a passport, and some other documentation. However, they will only ask for it once you are accepted and committed to the university. You can also find a variety of forms on the college websites that allow exceptions related to COVID situations.

Hey, as an international student I know that you don't need your passport for applying but once you get selected in a University they generally ask for your passport for verification. Like @mike mentioned you will need a passport for all your legal documents. But don't worry you still have time!
