What can I do over the summer?
Answered

Okay, so far in my first year of high school, I have done absolutely nothing. I've been given multiple opportunities for community service and volunteering hours, and I even looked at different jobs I could apply for, but either I wasn't interested in them or I didn't have the time. I know those things can help me get into college when they check my resume, but I just don't know what to do!

I know summer is coming up, and I want to do something that I have time for but I feel continuous stress from my peers and family on what I should do, and I'm completely lost. Are there any things I could do during the summer that I could benefit from as a 14 year old 9th grader staying home?

... besides sleep lol...

Thank you!

Hi @GeminiQueen !

I am going to put a link below from Princeton Review that has a list of summer activities for college bound students. One of the main summer activities that I participated in was blogging. Well, I do that all year round. However, it gave me something to do in the summers from the comforts of my own home. Which that's an extracurricular that has gotten me accepted into just about every university that I applied to. In addition to blogging, I volunteered over the summer, which looks good on college applications.
