Should I submit my college transcript from a summer program and fall semester to colleges?
Answered

Over the summer, I participated in a program at a college where I received an 'A' and earned credit for a course I took. Currently, I am enrolled in two online courses at a local community college, which is different from the first institution. I'm confused about whether it's necessary to send these transcripts to all the colleges I'm applying to, as each transcript costs $10 to send. I have 11 schools on my list and would prefer to avoid an additional $220 expense if possible. So, my question is whether it's required that I send my transcript of coursework I took at other institutions to the colleges I'm applying to this fall, even the community college transcript where I have no grades yet and only two courses listed?

I recommend listing the community college classes on the high school transcript as dual enrollment classes that are in progress (IP). If this is possible...I am homeschooled, so I have more flexibility in building the transcript with my mom and my advisor. Speak to your high school counselor about this. Now, I cannot guarantee that any of the schools will request the community college/other college credit transcripts. At that point, you may need to decide which schools matter the most to you or which ones you need the best merit scholarship offers from.

Hope this helps and lmk if you have any questions!
