Is there a strategy for the FASFA submision date?

While still meeting the January 1st deadline, is it advantageous to submit FAFSA early?

Hi,

You should fill your FAFSA as soon as possible especially if you expect to get financial aid.

From FASFA Website:

We recommend creating your account early—even before you’re ready to complete the FAFSA form—to avoid delays in the process. That’s because you may need to wait up to three days to use your FSA account after creating it.

Because of the variation in state and college deadlines, it’s highly recommended that you fill out the FAFSA form as soon as you can after Oct. 1 to ensure that you don’t miss out on available aid.

From FAFSA expert:

If you wait, there may be less money available so your financial aid may be more loans, less grants.
