However, I would note that extracurriculars are typically activities outside of your academic or school requirements like clubs or sports teams to showcase your skills and leadership abilities outside of a classroom setting.

Qualifying for AIME is an exceptional academic achievement and will likely hold a lot of weight in your application but it's not considered an EC.
