Peer essay review confusionAnswered
Hi, I just opened an essay review at all it shows in the comments section, in the remarks section and everywhere else is "Please do not copy another person's essay"
I'm afraid someone might have tried to copy my essay because it was held under viewership for many minutes. Maybe they viewed it on one tab and typed to copy it on another, I don't know, but I'm really scared now. There's only 1 day till the ED deadline so I can't even rewrite or anything and I don't want to risk anything.

This may have been a result of a user who was trying to farm karma by claiming essays and not actually reviewing them. The user left the same repeated sentence on other essays before our monitoring mechanisms notified us and we banned them from our site. There was no activity to indicate they attempted to plagiarize an essay and we are already working on some changes around improved safety and moderating to prevent this from happening again, but we're so sorry you received this unhelpful review.

It's unlikely that someone could make a copy however certainly they could have tried to and failed. The only way to copy an essay is to a.) physically write everything in pen or pencil on a piece of paper, or b.) take a screenshot c.) or use a dictation app where you read the document using a microphone and it translates into text.
For these reasons, I have never submitted one of my essays for review but have only been the reviewer.
