Legacy Chances

Hello!

Just letting everyone know that the legacy option on the profile section of CV isn't reflecting on my chances, but UVA does consider legacy applicants.

Hey there! Thanks for reaching out about this, I wanted to check in and make sure you had some assistance.

To clarify, while we note that a legacy applicant can certainly "boost" their admissions chances, our algorithm does not account for legacy relationships. In other words, you will not visibly see a boost in you CV chances if you note that your parents graduated from a school that considers legacy applicants.While the information doesn’t affect your estimated chances on CollegeVine, we're hoping to update the model to account for this in 2022.
