Does IB really increase your chances of getting in to Harvard? ( Or any college really.. )

If it does, how much would it help?

From an academic perspective, yes because it shows that you have taken a rigorous course load. But you need to receive good grades too otherwise it won't be as impressive. But academics alone won't help you because it is a small portion of your chances of getting in. Essays and extra curriculums place a bigger role.

Hopefully, that answered your question.

If you get the IB diploma and have good grades, it definitely does! Taking a rigorous course load and performing well is very important to admissions officers at any elite college. Having an IB diploma and a good GPA proves that you did exactly that.
