SAT Where to start

Hi!

My name is Sofia, I will be doing 11 years in The USA as an echa fe year since I am from Spain. I want to start with SAT but I don really know a lot about it. Is there just one type, I heard you can choose for example not to take science or something like that . I will really appreciate any information and recommendation about it.

Thank you so much

Hi there, so I’m an American student, and the SAT is a test that focuses on reading comprehension, grammar, math without calculator and math with calculator. There is a different type of test called the ACT, but I prefer the SAT (the ACT is usually more data and science based, I don’t know too much about it). Since you come from Spain, I recommend taking an English test (someone please fill in what these are, I don’t know which two there are) and a test that shows you speak Spanish (I don’t know which ones count, but try to take AP Spanish if possible to add in an AP class). AP classes are basically a test on a specific subject that you can take, say AP Calculus or AP biology. These tests aren’t required, but they boost your application if you get a good score, on top of your weighted GPA and potentially College credit (depends on the school and score). Anyways good luck on your journey, and if you need me to translate it, I will do so
