How many APs?

I am currently a sophmore planning for my junior year and I am not sure what/ how many APs I should take. I for sure want to take AP Lang, APUSH, and AP Psych. I am thinking about taking AP Calc AB or Applied Calc (standard calculus). I play two sports (one fall/one spring) and don't want to overwhelm myself. None of my other friends play sports but are taking 5-6 APs so I feel like I am not taking enough compared to them. I also worry that I don't seem well rounded because I am only taking humanity APs. I go to a pretty academically competitive school and I don't want to bite off more than I can chew but I also want to stand out in college admissions. I don't plan on applying to super prestigious schools but I still want to seem competitive compared to my peers.

hi! i'm a junior and i'm taking ap lang, apush, and ap calc, and i have a lot of friends taking those and ap psych. at my school psych and apush are both a lot of notes at home (i don't know about other schools), so since you do sports i would make sure you have enough time for those before also taking calc. and don't worry about taking as many as your friends. i know people that are taking none and people taking 7. it really comes down to your own time management and what you are able to do.

hi! i'm a sophomore too. i wouldn't worry about you AP class load. as long as you're committed to the sports you're doing and take classes you're passionate about, colleges will see your dedication and want that more than someone who just takes a ton of APs but doesn't enjoy it and isn't dedicated to anything. hope this helps!
