ivy leagues & test optional polices

i kinda ignored darthmouths test optional policy switch thinking it would only be them but im starting to see the domino effect with yale and im rlly scared lol

my sat scores are... dot dot dot. i get text anxiety and i feel like my score does not represent the best of my abilities or measure my academic success at any college.

my dream school is apart of the ivy league and like everyone else, i would like to get into a t20 but if everyone starts following yale and dartmouth at this rate, im really scared where i would end up LOLLL im scared i wont have a chance at any top schools anymore </3

PLEASEEE @mydreamschool @mycollegelist BE TEST OPTIONAL FOR NEXT YEAR WKEJHGFHIOWPDOFJH

Don't panic! You can do this :) It will be okay.

However, you may want to study and retake if it's possible that your dream school may switch. Test anxiety is conquerable! I was terribly scared the first time I went in, and then I went for the PSAT and felt a little better. I've heard the third time is the charm so I should feel okay for the March SAT. It is TOTALLY normal to be nervous- you just have to rise above and be confident! If you need any tips, please lmk. I would be happy to help you. Since you are a junior, you have all spring and into the summer to take the SAT a couple times. Then you can superscore your best.

Also, if your score is lower than what you want, I recommend checking out Strategic Test Prep's Youtube channel and their workbooks. I use both workbooks, and saw a 100 point increase in under 3 weeks! The English one is free rn if you go and sign up for the email list, and the math is $25 dollars. They do have tutors but I personally chose to self study. If tutoring would raise you confidence and you can afford it, go for it! STP also developed the Preptly app which you can use to practice throughout your day (like on the bus or a couple questions at lunch time). Practice, practice, practice is what makes you confident b/c you are familiar with the problems and know what to do with them. Also, I dk if you took the paper SAT but the DSAT gives you more time per question actually and has an amazing calculator built in (look up Method Learning on Youtube and watch and rewatch their DESMOS tutorial series!)

I hope this helps You CAN do this- you just have to believe in yourself. You are smart and you can crush the SAT!
