How to get a presidential service volunteer award

So recently I've been thinking of ways to get 200 hours by the end of this year, mostly for college apps. But I'm having a hard time finding any organizations that I can volunteer with online to get volunteer hours, and they can nominate me for the award. So I'm wondering if there are any online volunteer opportunities that I'm missing. Can someone recommend me some?

Hello! Here is a website I use to find online opportunities for volunteering: volunteermatch.org/virtual-volunteering

But I'd also like to give you some ideas on local opportunities in case you ever have an opportunity to volunteer in person. I don't know about your school, but my high school is a partner school of a youth-powered organization called Y Street. There are limited ways to volunteer online, but a lot of it is in person. I have been a part of the organization for about 4 or 5 months and already have 26 community service hours from Y Street alone! Also, some fire departments, police departments, animal shelters, and public service departments have amazing opportunities. For example, my local animal shelter allows people to volunteer to care for the animals for community service hours.

Good luck!

You do realize you need a 24 month period to get the award? Even if you have the 200 hours before 12th grade you will still need to wait for another year.
