Hey everyone! I'm launching a photography non-profit as a passion project where photographers worldwide can offer their skills for community gigs. All proceeds from these sessions will go directly to a charity chosen by the client. It's a unique way for photographers to make a meaningful impact through their work while empowering communities. I'm currently setting up partnerships with charities, recruiting photographers who want to contribute their skills for social good, and establishing a user-friendly platform for bookings and donations. Any advice or support on legal setup, outreach strategies, or connecting with potential clients would be greatly appreciated! Let's make a difference together through photography.
Oh, great idea! It's very unique, so I don't think that you will have any problems reaching out to people, but here are a few tips of mine to help you increase your exposure:
1) If you haven't already, it may be a good idea to set up an Instagram account to promote your non-profit.
2)There are also many subreddits on Reddit where you could perhaps ask users if they would be interested in your project.
3)Creating a Facebook Group wouldn't hurt too.
4)This might not work depending on where you live, but you could set up posters in your local area to advertise your non-profit.
5)Creating a website would be pretty crucial if you envision it eventually having an international scale.
I made a newsletter some time ago, and I've found that getting the first few people interested in your project tends to be the hardest part; after that point, traction usually builds up. Good luck!
