Last year as a Sophmore I did terrible ending off the school year with C's and D's, with maybe one or two A's and B's. I would like to see if there is a way that I can inspire myself to study more.
I'd say reward yourself and think about the end result. Set goals for yourself and once you achieve them, treat yourself. You could use candy or coffee as something simple but still desirable. That, and think about your future career or the life you want to build for yourself.
I've never liked studying. I just zone out using flashcards, and I find it hard to reread something I've written and actually absorb any information. What I recommend instead is writing everything by hand. When you take notes in class, write them in a notebook. Then when you get home (or whenever you have time), take out another notebook, and this will be your fancy notebook. Re-explain the content to yourself as you transfer it. Reword it as if you're teaching someone else. Make it look pretty if you want. It forces you to really learn the content, writing by hand helps you remember it, and it doesn't feel like studying. Plus, if you do need to go back, it's easy to navigate and nice to look through.
Hii, I don't know if this will be much help but I'll try my best. I recommend flashcards or studying with a group, phone off or put somewhere far, if music helps then put some calm music on, don't think about the time, I hope this helps
Figure out your why. This can be a bit deep but its important to think about. What is your end goal in life? What do you want to have achieved before you die?
Its tough to get motivation and inspiration to study, and you'll get demotivated again and again. However, once you find your why, no matter how unmotivated you get, you'll push through. Find something you are extremely passionate about, and if there isn't anything that stands out in particular. Pick something. Anything. And just go for it. Even if it doesn't feel like its the thing for you, just dedicate yourself to it for a month or even 2 weeks.
Also something else thats helpful is to find a study technique that works for you and create a morning routine (morning routine's are life savers).
Watching study vlogs/study with me videos when i'm studying late at night helps me stay motivated as well, and listening to lofi/classical music or motivational music.
I wish you lots of luck !
Think about why you want to have higher grades. What's the end goal you want to achieve? That should be inspiring!
