Passion Project?
Answered

Hiii! I'm interested in starting a passion project but I'm not sure what I could do. I love anything music related and I sing, play piano and guitar. Anyone have ideas?

One idea that could work out is teaching low-income elementary/middle school students in your area how to play the piano and guitar. With this startup, you can possibly expand by creating a social media platform specifically designed to teach everyone how to play these instruments. If it is something you love to do, then definitely go for it!

You can write a song !

Start off with 4/4, basic 4 chord progression (can't go wrong with I-V-vi-IV) and use that as a basis. If you have ever written any poetry or song lyrics, see if you can align the rhythms that way. Play around with guitar and piano; see if you come across a melody you're in love with. If you come across a melodic riff you love, you can incorporate it into a song. Use some basic music production software to piece it together. It will be slightly painful and take forever, but it you persevere you might emerge with a song. Obviously I'm oversimplifying this process, but if you are able to produce a demo you're happy with, you can release it on sound cloud and such. Or on social media, where you can acquire followers to "quantify" your achievements. But the most important thing is to find something to do that you love, not something that a college will love.
