Okay this is a very easy question to answer. No it is not required (like volunteer hours etc.) But yes it is an EC and may contribute positively if you have experience, but it won’t impact negatively if you don’t.

I've been told by my guidance counselors that it is not necessary or required, but it can be seen as a 'responsibility point' to some colleges. If it's only your school hours prohibiting any jobs, maybe try applying for a summer job! But if that's not the case, no worries!

if you want to put volunteer hours on your transcript, a few colleges will look at that. However most won't look at them, let alone work. you should probably get a job, but not for your applications.

Same here!! However, I am told that it is not required for students to have work experience it's just an additional contribution to your activity/achievement list.
