Safety Schools?

I’m looking for a safety school that I would be excited to go to, but I can afford. I’m middle class and I want to go out of state so it’s hard to find any that are affordable. I’m focused on getting into Top-20 schools (many of which I know give generous financial aid for applicants in my income range) and I think I’m a strong applicant but if they don’t work out I need a backup plan. By “safety school” anything from like 40-50% acceptance I’m pretty confident in, so it doesn’t have to have a super high acceptance rate (this is based on friends/family experience at schools with these rates and CollegeVine’s predictions). I’m planning on majoring in biology/premed and I’m looking at schools in the PNW and northeast US. Thank you for any responses!

id recommend looking into the "public ivy" schools. for example, binghamton university is a state school that isnt exactly cheap but cheaper than private schools and has an acceptance rate of like 43%
