Ways To Prepare For The ACT

I am a rising junior trying to start studying for the ACT, and I am confused about how to take a practice ACT or even a study plan. I visited the ACT website, which only offered free, limited resources, barely enough to understand what I should study. I would love to know an affordable ACT plan (less than $200) and/or a way to take the ACT.

Yea so my mom and I emailed this guy--> Phillip J Martin. He writes and teaches ACT Bootcamp books. We told him our financial situation and he allowed us a waiver that gave us free access to all his tips, tricks, and practice tests. He really is helpful and he explains to where I can really understand the material, rather than having to memorize it. My English score went up 5 points, math 6, Science 10, and Reading 4. Allowing me to gain a 34 composite. Let me know if you need his contact information or more help!

Hi! I took the ACT earlier this year, and my plan was this:

- Go to the library and borrow an ACT study guide.

- For a month before the test, I practiced. One week per subject.

- Practice exams! Make sure to time yourself, it goes by quickly!! That was my biggest struggle during the exam.

- SLEEP! Get good sleep at least 3 days before the exam.

- Flash cards for terms and info I felt were important, that I studied in the car while waiting for the test site to open.

- Have breakfast before the test, dress comfortably, practice deep breathing and DO NOT look around to compare how you're doing to others. It stresses you out more.

If you have the money to spend, invest in an official study book. You can get ones off of Amazon for like $30, and it's a big help to be able to write in it.

I asked ChatGPT to give me the hardest questions I would see the night before and no other studying and it went very well. The fact that it is all multiple choice makes me feel that test taking strategy, like learning to recognize traps and the process of elimination, is the main way to get a good score.

I meant to put this under question, not discussion.
