What class should I take?

Hi. I am a rising junior with an intended applied math major, and I've been having some trouble choosing a class. I recently received my schedule, and although I wanted AP Statistics, it conflicted with my other mandatory class, so I can't take it. I asked for AP Chem, but there was the same issue. But now Idk what I should choose. I think the options are AP Environmental Science (I'll have to be waitlisted though), AP Comp sci (I really hate comp sci its something I really struggled with even back in 9th grade), Adv. engineering design (it counts as AP weighting but idk if its rly relevant?), Adv. Entrepreneurship. Other ones are just the art, english, and history classes which im not too interested in.

For reference, the classes i have so far are AP physics, AP calc ab, APUSH, regular english, latin 3.

I want to take classes that align with my intended major and goes well with my other classes in terms of rigor.

Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Firstly, wow, you've got a lot on your plate! Kudos!!! As a Junior taking AP Stats, it can totally wait for Senior year! My recommendation is to take your highest priority APs Senior year so that you can focus on them and have a relaxing year.

You don't have to take just APs but if you are dead set on that, I'd recommend AP Comp sci or Adv. Entrepreneurship. AP Comp Sci will challenge you and push you to learn. Adv. Entrepreneurship will still involve numbers and rates (assuming you'll be covering pay rates and price influxes with your 'business').

This can also allow you to try something new. Something like ceramics, art, stage craft, ANYTHING!!! It is 100% okay to branch out and try something. Regardless, just don't stress yourself out and make sure you have time for PSATs or SATs (if you're taking them)

Thank you so much! Your answer is so insightful. I always forget that it's important to enjoy myself and try something new too, bc otherwise I look like a nerd LOL

I've decided on Adv. Entrepreneurship, but I am also on the waiting list for APES and AP Bio. We will see how it goes. Thanks for this, I feel like I really needed it because otherwise I was so stressed out abt classes.

No problem at all. I wish you the best of luck with your Junior year, but I beg, DO NOT OVERWORK YOURSELF!!! I've heard APES is super difficult, so I wish you the best of luck with both getting into the class and passing it. As for AP Bio, it's a 50/50 on difficulty, depending on the teacher, so once more, best of luck.
