How to raise my gpa?

I currently have a 2.3 gpa due to going to a school which only cared about you graduating, so it's fairly easy to pass with a couple of D's. I made the mistake of not caring about school or not asking for help my freshman year. Also to make matters worse my teachers could not explain well, nor did they teach well. So now that I'm a junior in a new school which cares about your grades and have teachers that teach well, I'm now at a point where I need to raise my gpa. I took ap seminar + ap spanish 3 in 10th grade. I only past my spanish exam with a 4. This year I'm taking ap english 3 + ap world history. I would like to continue with ap classes to hopefully raise my gpa even more. I'm also taking the sat exam around spring time. I would like to attend school in Seattle. That's my number one priority. But most schools require a 3.0 gpa. So does anyone have any advice on how to raise my gpa?

Heya! Ala here, I got some ideas for you to raise your GPA.

Junior/Senior year are crucial times to get into a college. So if you need any help, now is the time to get it. I didn’t realize this until now, and I’m a sophomore. If your school does peer tutoring, you can always ask your principal to set you up with a classmate or a senior to help you understand certain topics you have trouble on. Also, don’t be afraid to ask your teacher to help after school or during a study hall.

Always review your notes and material usually around 3-5 days every day before a test, so there is a chance you get a good grade. If you have study guides, use them!

You can also look online to find some ACTUAL documents to help prepare you for SATs, or tests, such as Khan Academy or sometimes Quizlet.

Make Quizlet/Flashcards to help you remember terms for quizzes.

Don’t stay up too too late studying, 11 pm is usually the time to stop. Also, don’t wait last minute to do an assignment. If you really need help, ask a friend or email your teacher (just not at 11 at night) for guidance.

If you need any other tips, let me know!

Hiii! You've probably heard all of this before, but STUDY STUDY STUDY. Ask for help as soon as you don't understand something. Mark up questions or problems you don't understand so you remember to ask. Make friends in your classes to help you with work. Make playlists, have fun with the work. Take any and all opportunities to retake tests is you don't get a score that will benefit you. You got this <3

To raise your GPA, you really gotta commit and focus on school. I don't know if you have a lot of extracurriculars, but if you get an assignment and have sufficient time, try to get it done as soon as possible. That way you have plenty of time to ask questions on it. If you do this, and make sure you understand the lessons, getting an A isn't super impossible. (Depending on the class. AP Physics C is killing me.) But yeah, just focus as much as possible and ask questions. If your new school has better teachers, they'll be happy to answer any questions.
