Best free ways to boost SAT Math Score?

I took a SAT practice test, and my best score for Reading & Writing was 730. I still want to get that higher, but my main issue is math. My highest score for math has been a 580, and my goal is to get around a 1470 or higher. I'm about halfway through Algebra II, and I'm taking an SAT Prep course w/ Khan Academy, but I still don't feel confident enough with math. I think my main problem has been pacing myself on the second module. Are there any free (or cheap) resources that I can use?

In my experience, the Khan SAT Prep course doesn't really prepare you all that well beyond basic conceptual review. My advice is to take as many practice tests as possible on Bluebook. The Khan questions, in my opinion, tend to be easier and/or simpler to solve than the real ones.

In addition, the Bluebook tests don't cover all the bases. I'd also recommend watching some YouTube videos on specific math questions--I know I was able to solve one quite easily on my first SAT because I'd seen it done in a video. All of these should be free and easily accessible.

You can use Desmos on the Digital Math SAT. It basically does everything for you. I got an 800 using it. Just familiarize yourself with it and how to use it. I suggest researching it on YouTube.

You're in luck. It's statistically easier to improve your SAT math score rather than reading. Math can be learned in a shorter amount of time- memorizing formulas and methods. On the other hand, reading requires years of mastery to change your level. I recommend:

1. Try getting the Princeton Review SAT book or take the class.

2. Take a ton of practice tests. Familiarize yourself with the test format. There are so many free ones online.

3. Google any formulas you need to know that are not provided by College Board.

4. There are tons of YouTube videos that will tell you the things that you NEED to know for the Math section, and what to not waste your time on.

Best of Luck!
