College Prep

I am a junior at a very competitive high school (most of these kids from the past graduating class have gone to very prestige colleges like Stanford and ivys) and I feel honestly far behind. I was wondering when the best time to start my college essays are, and what the best topics would be? Any help? Also: I take 4 APs right now, APUSH, AP Lang, AP Calc AB, and AP Art History. What APs should I take my senior year?

AP Macro or Microeconomics and AP Gov are good just to add more aps, AP Lit is good since you're already taking AP Lang, if BC is available you could take it but to be honest if you're not going into STEM don't worry about it.

Also for essay topics, you could go a couple of routes, worst fear, greatest moment, part of your personality. However the main goal is to show you, you're application shows what you've done but the essay shows who you are. It doesn't matter what you do as long as your personality is there and it's unique. Good Luck
