Raising GPA

Hello. I'm a highschool junior and It's pretty late into the year, but I'd like to raise my GPA despite not doing so well for the first 2 years. I just recently found out about collegevine. Is there any way I can salvage it over this semester and my senior year?

To raise your GPA, I think the most important part is prioritizing schoolwork. If you really can't balance the workload, try to emphasize assignments or tests which will make up a larger percentage of your final grade in each class. On the other hand, if you can handle a greater workload than the one you have now, try taking AP, honors, or similar classes. Taking these harder classes will improve your WEIGHTED GPA, since they are graded on a 5.0 scale, IF you get good grades in it. If you don't do well, it could have a negative impact on your GPA. Those classes won't improve your UNWEIGHTED GPA, however. So if you just want to improve your unweighted GPA, I would buckle down to schoolwork. Even if you feel like your doing badly on an assignment, finish it. A D-grade paper is better than an F for not turning in a paper. I hope this helps!

I would say doing your best to prioritize your classes and trying to take electives they can be good for raising your GPA during senior year avoid non-credit classes like library assistant because you can also just do an elective to help you.
