I'm a sophomore in high school and starting to look at scholarships for collage. My family does not have a lot of $$$ and I need something to get me a full ride. I am a straight A student taking classes early and I'm in a lot of clubs. What can I do with this?
One of the best scholarship search systems is Fastweb, but sadly you cannot create an account until you are 16. I recommend places like Bold.org, Scholarships.com, etc. Niche and such are great BUT there is a slight pitfall- everyone applies to those one-click no-essay wonders, so it is far better to invest your time in scholarships that require something of you. Find scholarships that are relevant to your interests/talents/future career. Enter essay scholarships as well- wonderful practice for the admissions essays! The more you write, the better you'll get. Also, depending on the situation, you may qualify for financial aid or need-based scholarships. Start researching to see if you qualify for need-based because if you do, that opens the door to a lot more opportunities.
Hope this helps and lmk if you have any questions.
