Best STEM safety colleges for me?

Hi, I am looking for good safety STEM colleges in the US to add to my list since it is difficult to find or get excited about them. Any suggestions on what I should check out?

What I look for in a college:

- Strong academics in STEM fields

- Preferably smaller class sizes / student population under 20,000 and room to explore different interests.

- Fun activities outside of academics (sports, clubs, traditions, nearby activities like skiing, hiking, etc.)

- Nice community and non competitive feel and social life.

It obviously depends on your stats and ECs but some good safeties are Florida Tech, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Clemson University. Also, take a look at Niche.com for schools that are good in the specific major you are interested in. Hope this helps!
