Hi, it honestly depends on what state you want to go to. I suppose you mentioned you live in Texas because you want to stay. So...

Another school in Texas that hasn't been mentioned and seems like a good option is UT Arlington. They have an 80% acceptance rate, and the in-state tuition is $27,280 / year, which is really cheap!

Out of state options near Texas that could be considered are:

Arkansas State University: 77% acceptance rate. Out-of-state tuition is $31,348 / year

Oklahoma City University: 76% acceptance rate. Out-of-state tuition is $45,388 / year

University of Arkansas: 77% acceptance rate. Out-of-state tuition is $42,632 / year

University of Arkansas at Little Rock: 79% acceptance rate. Out-of-state tuition is $30,256

Wayland baptist university

Texas a+m

Jarvis Christian college

tip: most christian schools are relatively safer because there is less partying and illegal crimes commited by students, not saying it's perfect but it would be safer than a public institute.

Texas A&M has a 68% acceptance rate and an average GPA of 3.68. The average SAT is 1275 and the ACT is 29. This would be a good safety school to apply to.
