I'm a sophomore at a high school in Indiana. I was at the second-best/most difficult school in the country (for less than a quarter) when I dropped out due to the strain being applied to my mental health. I was enrolled in 6 AP courses there, whereas now I am enrolled in 1. I plan to take more AP classes throughout the rest of my years in high school. I also got a 1280 on the PSAT last year as a Freshman, and I plan to study for the SAT and PSAT starting in the summer. I have an IQ in the 130s-140s (not sure if that helps).
Also work on ECs. They too are important. Do some psycology research (independent or internship with a professor). If you're aiming for Ivy league, have an SAT of 1500+, 1550+ is preffearble tho. Also don't stress. Find what you love and go deep...that's what matters.
Thanks, I have a few ECs but I should probably get some more.
Yeah but not exaclty...dont just look for more ECs, even if its one or two, just go deep. Its depth over breadth...dont forget that.
You're probably right.. I currently do band, marching band, Boy Scouts, and plan to do some sports.. That's about it right now. I want to do the student council and maybe some other clubs too.
I also do a Teen Court program and a Teen Advisory Council, which involves community service and a court program for youth.
You have a brilliant IQ with PSAT. Just study for your SAT only and take as many AP classes as you can. Then, you might be able to go to even Ivy league universities.
Thank you, I’ll definitely try my hardest.
