How does double majoring work at UCLA?
Answered

I'm a high school sophomore (rising junior), so I have a lot of time till admissions come, but I figured getting this answered sooner rather than later would be better.

I've recently realized that I would rather double major than just do a single major or a major and minor. I want to double major in Film and Physics, and I am not sure if UCLA provides such an option or not. Does anybody know if it is possible to do this, and if not can anyone provide schools similar to UCLA that would?

Thanks!

The School of Theater, Film, and Television at UCLA doesn't allow double majors: https://www.tft.ucla.edu/programs/film-tv-digital-media-department/undergraduate-degrees/ba-undergraduate-film/.

It appears the USC does allow double-majors though, and it's pretty similar and equally prestigious for film: https://cinema.usc.edu/admissions/faq.cfm.

Also, liberal arts colleges are definitely not similar to UCLA, but they tend to offer the most flexibility in double-majoring. You may want to check out schools like the Claremont Colleges.
