Emily graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021 with a degree in Communications, Music, and Advertising & Public Relations. She has also taken courses in screenwriting, sketch comedy writing, and media production. Emily has been mentoring students for 5+ years. She began as an Admissions Ambassador at UNC, where she regularly advised students on every part of the college process-- whether it be how to choose essay topics, choose a major, or make friends. Emily also interned with UNC's office of Undergraduate Admissions, where she handled correspondence with prospective students and worked to share UNC's mission and goals via social media, giving her a unique insider perspective in the advising space. After graduating, Emily started editing essays for international students and continues to use her writing experience to help make sure their personality and experience shines through on the page. Emily is based in Los Angeles, where she works at an entertainment marketing firm and plays french horn in a local LA orchestra. In her free time, Emily enjoys all things puzzles, trivia, and escape rooms, and has even written games for NPR's Ask Me Another.
