Alex graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania where he studied psychology and chemistry. While at Penn, Alex worked as a college applications consultant and helped multiple students create school lists, craft strong essays, prepare for interviews, and gain acceptance to their top choice schools. Alex subsequently worked as an essay review consultant and gained extensive experience reviewing essays and teaching effective essay writing techniques. Around this time, Alex also published two first-authored papers in peer-reviewed medical journals. In 2021, Alex applied to medical school. After writing over 30 essays for his applications, he was accepted to multiple MD programs at top institutions such as Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and UC San Diego School of Medicine. The experience of applying to medical school has reignited his passion for applications consulting and essay writing, and he is very excited to be back in the college advising space! In his free time, Alex loves to sing, practice gymnastics, and read.
