Any predictions for AP Physics 1 FRQ in 2025?

This might be a bit far-fetched, but I was wondering if anyone has any insights or predictions for the AP Physics 1 free response questions in 2025? I want to get a head start in preparing. Thanks!

The specifics of the AP Physics 1 Free Response Questions (FRQs) for 2025 aren't known in advance, as they're kept under wraps until the exam date by the College Board. However, I can certainly give a general outline based on past patterns.

FRQs typically relate to major topics in the AP Physics 1 course, which includes kinematics, forces, circular motion and gravitation, energy, momentum, simple harmonic motion, torque and rotational motion, electric charge and electric force, DC circuits, and mechanical waves and sound.

Each year, the FRQ section includes at least one experimental design question, one quantitative/qualitative translation question, and one short answer question. The experimental design question will ask you to design an experiment related to the course content. The qualitative/quantitative translation question will typically require you to move between mathematical and conceptual understanding. Then, there are typically three more general short answer questions about the broader course content.

Your best approach would be to have a solid understanding of the main topics and become proficient in solving problems related to them. Practice is key here. Make sure to go through all sorts of practice problems, especially from old AP exams. You should also understand how to design and interpret results from physics experiments, as this has been a consistent theme over the years.

Remember, even though patterns exist, there can always be deviations, so comprehensive understanding and preparation are your best assets. Happy studying!
