Hey everyone, I read somewhere that UF uses the SSAR for its application. How exactly does it work and what should I include? Should I list all my classes, including electives? Appreciate any help!
Sure, glad you asked! The UF's Self-Reported Student Academic Record (SSAR) is a self-reported transcript where you enter your grades from high school. After applying, you will link your SSAR to your UF application.
You will enter all of your high school coursework and associated grades from9th-11th grade. Any courses you’re taking in 12th grade should also be listed as "In Progress" or "Planned", depending on when you're filling out the application. Elective classes are also supposed to be included, as long as they are high school level and will appear on your final transcript. You should try to resemble your official transcript as much as possible. Remember, UF will verify this information from your official final transcript if you're admitted and choose to enroll. So be accurate!
One more thing: You'll also include info about the difficulty of the courses. So, if it's an AP, IB, dual-enrollment, advanced or regular course, that should be indicated as well.Hopefully, that answers your question. Good luck on your college journey!
