USC vs. Missouri - Looking for Opinions and Experiences

Hi, I recently got accepted to both USC and Missouri, and I'm having a hard time choosing between them. If anyone went to either of these schools or knows more about their programs, campus life, etc., your experiences and advice would be super valuable.

Congrats on your acceptances to both USC and Missouri! They are both exceptional universities, and you'll receive a great education no matter which you choose. Let's talk a bit about both:

1. University of Southern California (USC): Located in Los Angeles, USC is known for its strong programs in fields such as film production, business, journalism, among others. If you're interested in these areas, USC could be a great fit! Being in a bustling city also means you'll have access to significant networking opportunities and internships. However, the cost of living in LA can be comparatively high, and you should bear that in mind as you make your decision.

2. University of Missouri (Mizzou): Situated in Columbia, Mizzou offers a more traditional college town experience. The school excels in areas such as journalism and agriculture. Mizzou provides a more intimate campus environment and may have smaller class sizes than USC. The cost of living is also notably lower in Columbia than in LA.

As for campus life, USC is part of the Pac-12 Conference, and its sports teams have a strong fan base. If big sports events and school spirit appeal to you, you might lean towards USC. Mizzou, a part of the SEC Conference, also has a vibrant sports culture and a strong sense of community.

Consider your academic interests, campus culture preferences, and financial considerations. If possible, visit the campuses, talk with current students, and reach out to faculty about the programs you're interested in. While you can't make a wrong choice here, some universities will better align with your personal ambitions and the college experience you envision. Best of luck!
