UCs for Business? Suggestions?

Hey there! I've heard a lot about UC's STEM and humanities programs, but not so much about their business programs. Do any of the UCs stand out for their undergraduate business schools?

Absolutely, several University of California (UC) campuses offer distinguished undergraduate business programs. The principal one that comes to mind is the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. It's one of the best in the nation and renowned for its emphasis on innovation and leadership.

Not all UCs have dedicated undergraduate business schools, but many offer business-related degrees that are also respected. For example, UCLA doesn't have a business major, but does offer a Business Economics major which combines economic theory with business practices, along with a robust offering of business-oriented minors like entrepreneurship and accounting. UC Irvine's Paul Merage School of Business is another commendable choice. It offers a business administration major which is highly ranked, and its location in Orange County provides valuable networking opportunities.

And while the UC San Diego doesn't have a dedicated business major, they offer a Business minor and a major in International Business. UC Santa Cruz offers a Business Management Economics major as well.

When considering these programs, it's crucial to look at more than just rankings. Each of these programs will have unique characteristics and it's worth digging into things like the specific classes, the student culture, access to internships, and mentoring resources to get a sense of what each program might offer you.
