Quality of Education at UIC?

Hey guys, I'm considering applying to the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). I've heard mixed reviews about it, so I'm wondering if anyone who has firsthand experience or knows someone who goes there can tell me if it's a reputable school, and what they think about the campus life and academic resources available.

From what I've heard, the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) generally has a good reputation, especially for its engineering, business, and healthcare disciplines. Students often talk positively about the quality of education and the committed faculty. It's a research-intensive public university, which means students have ample opportunities to get involved in research projects if that's something of interest.

Campus life might feel a bit different from a traditional "college town," as UIC is located in the heart of Chicago, one of the largest cities in the U.S. This urban setting has certain advantages: lots of cultural activities, restaurants, and internship/job opportunities readily available. The downside may be that the campus life isn't as tight-knit, some students commute, and you might not get the typical residential college experience that exists in more isolated college towns.

Academic resources are pretty robust at UIC.
