College of Charleston - Out of State Acceptance Rate?

I'm from out of state and considering the College of Charleston. Does anyone know if they have a different acceptance rate for out-of-state students?

The College of Charleston, like many public universities, does not officially publish a separate acceptance rate for in-state versus out-of-state students. However, typically, out-of-state acceptance rates are not drastically different from the overall acceptance rate.

For the 2023-2024 admissions cycle, the total admission rate for the College of Charleston was approximately 75%. Though it's not explicit, the acceptance rate for out-of-state students is likely to be in that general ballpark. Keep in mind that the school's admissions process will consider other factors such as your academic profile, extracurricular involvement, essays, and letters of recommendation. In other words, even if the acceptance rate for out-of-state students were to be slightly lower due to increased competition, a strong applicant could still be admitted.

I highly recommend that you also reach out to the college's admissions office to get the most accurate and specific information for your case. They can provide more insights and any recent changes to their admissions policy. Just make sure to make your application as strong as possible, showcasing your academic and extracurricular achievements. Best of luck!
