Active Duty Military Friendly Colleges, any recommendations?

Hey everyone, I'm active duty military and looking to attend a college that's particularly friendly towards us. Any suggestions on which colleges to look at?

Absolutely, there are quite a few colleges that are known for being military-friendly and have special benefits and resources for active-duty military members.

1. University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC): UMGC is really popular with military members because it offers academic programs on military installations in over 20 countries, online courses, and it even maintains a robust Veteran Success Program.

2. Arizona State University (ASU): ASU has a special department committed to military and veterans' affairs that provides various resources. On top of that, ASU offers a tuition discount for active military personnel and accepts American Council on Education (ACE) credits.

3. Columbia University: Columbia University has its unique School of General Studies designed for non-traditional students, including active-duty military members. The university also hosts the U.S. Military Veterans of Columbia University, a student group that supports veteran integration and networking.

4. University of Southern California (USC): USC has a full military and veterans' initiatives office, and they provide a Military Transfer Credit Policy, accepting credits from schooling provided by the armed services.

5. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University: Particularly appealing for those interested in a career related to aviation or aerospace, this university offers scholarships specifically for active duty military and veterans.

When researching colleges, look for universities that have dedicated offices for military and veteran affairs, flexibility in course enrollment, and accept ACE credits from military training. Also, consider using the Post-9/11 GI Bill, which provides financial support for education and housing to individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service after September 10, 2001.
