Is Rutgers University considered Ivy League?

Hi all, I'm a high school rising junior aiming for top colleges and uni's. I've been hearing lots about Rutgers University. Would you consider it on the same level as Ivy League schools or nah?

Rutgers University is not considered an Ivy League school. The Ivy League is a specific group of eight private colleges and universities in the northeastern United States: Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, Yale University, Columbia University, Princeton University, Brown University, Dartmouth College, and Cornell University. These institutions are known for their highly selective admissions and rigorous academics.

However, this does not mean that Rutgers University isn't a great institution! It's the State University of New Jersey and is renowned for many of its programs. Its business, engineering, and nursing programs, for instance, are recognized for their excellence. If you're aiming for top colleges and universities, keep in mind that "top" can mean different things for different students. Determine what you want in a college education, such as rigorous academic programs, a supportive community, research opportunities, or extracurricular activities, and see how Rutgers or any other university fits into that.

Be sure also to consider factors like cost, location, size of the institution, among others. While Ivy League schools are prestigious, many other universities, including Rutgers, offer exceptional educational experiences, opportunities, and outcomes.
