Opinions on St. John's Queens?

Greetings! I'm interested in applying to St. John's Queens, but wanted to get your thoughts. Any current students or alumni here? Can you share insights on campus life, academic rigor, and the community vibe?

St. John's University in Queens is a fairly large, private Roman Catholic University known for its diverse student body and strong programs, especially in Business, Pharmacy, and Law.From an academic standpoint, it is known for its rigorous programs. Some students find the workload challenging, but also rewarding. It pushes students to excel, which can be beneficial in the long term when entering the professional world.

As with any university, the difficulty of your course load will largely depend on your major and the specific classes you take. The campus itself is quite large and urban, located in the heart of Queens. It’s worth noting that some students appreciate the urban setting for the myriad of opportunities for internships, part-time jobs, and cultural experiences, while others may find it lacks the typical "college town" vibe, so that's something to consider based on your preferences.

As for community, St. John's has a diverse student body, both in terms of ethnic backgrounds and geographical locations. A good number of students commute, due to its city location, but there is a strong on-campus community as well with numerous clubs and organizations. It’s also worth noting that the university holds its Catholic traditions in high regard, which is reflected in its service and community programs.

Ultimately, fitting in at a college is a personal experience dependent on individual circumstances and preferences. If possible, you may wish to visit the campus or connect with current students or alumni to ask them about their experiences. That could provide the most accurate insight into whether it's a good fit for you.
