When does UT usually announce transfer decisions?

I'm planning to transfer to UT next year. What's the typical timeline for when UT announces transfer decisions effectively? How long do I need to prepare and what should I expect?

The University of Texas at Austin typically sends out transfer decision notifications in different waves, starting from the end of May and continuing through June and July. For the most part, decisions are released based on the college you've applied to and the time your application was submitted. Please keep in mind that the dates can vary from year to year.

If you're eagerly waiting for your decision, it's a good idea to check your UT EID account regularly, because decision notices will be posted there first. It's also important to make sure all your contact information is up to date in case the university needs to contact you.

In terms of preparation, given that acceptances can roll out until late July, you may have a relatively short time to make your decision, arrange housing, and get enrolled in classes. That said, it's never too early to start considering housing options and checking out potential course schedules. Being proactive will allow you to make a smooth transition if you do get accepted.
