Hi all, I've been digging around and I'm a little bit confused. I'm really interested in the health sciences and UCSF is a great school for that, but does UCSF have any undergrad programs? I can mainly find information on grad programs, but any clarification would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!
Hi there! Your investigation is correct; the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) does not offer traditional undergraduate programs. It's actually unique compared to other UC campuses in that it is exclusively dedicated to health science with graduate level programs. The institution specializes in fields such as Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Dentistry, and it's renowned for leading research in these areas. There are indeed no traditional bachelor's degree offerings.
If you are contemplating an undergraduate program that will prepare you for the health sciences, you might want to consider other UC campuses, such as UC San Diego, which has a strong reputation for programs in the biological and health sciences. After an undergrad program elsewhere, you could then consider UCSF for graduate studies in the health science field.
I hope this clears up your confusion! Good luck with your academic journey in the health sciences!
