Need Suggestions for Accredited Online Colleges Ideal for Military Personnel

Hey y'all, I'm joining the military soon but I'm considering pursuing a degree online as well. Any recommendations on which are the best accredited online colleges that are military-friendly? By that, I mean does anyone know which ones offer flexibility, support, and maybe even tuition assistance for military members?

Certainly! There are several accredited online colleges that are particularly well-suited for military personnel due to their flexibility, support services, and understanding of the unique needs of servicemen and women.

One you might consider is American Military University (AMU), which is part of the accredited American Public University System. They offer more than 200 degree and certificate programs, and they have a strong focus on flexible, online education for military personnel.

Arizona State University (ASU) Online also has a strong reputation for serving military members. They offer a wide variety of programs and have strong support services for veterans and active duty military. ASU Online also accepts military tuition assistance and the GI Bill, and even offers scholarships specifically for military members.

Penn State World Campus is another reputable choice, offering over 200 accredited online degree and certificate programs. Penn State has a long history of serving military students, and they offer a military grant-in-aid program to lower the cost of tuition. Additionally, they have a team of military support specialists to assist with the unique needs of military students.

Finally, Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) has over 100 undergraduate programs and special benefits for servicemen and women, including tuition discounts and transferable benefits for military spouses. They are also one of the most affordable private, nonprofit universities in the nation, which helps make college an attainable goal for many.

When considering online colleges, make sure to verify their accreditation status to ensure a quality education. Accreditation can have a major impact on your ability to apply for financial aid, transfer credits, and secure employment after graduation. And lastly, as you have asked for, always take advantage of the resources, support services, and tuition assistance programs that these colleges offer for military members. Best of luck!
