Information on SDSU Business Administration Major

Hey guys, I'm considering applying to SDSU for Business Administration. Has anyone here studied that at SDSU? What’s it like? I can't seem to find a lot of testimonials online, so any insight would be super helpful.

San Diego State University's (SDSU) Business Administration program is well-regarded and offers a solid preparation for a range of careers in the business world. The curriculum is comprehensive, covering essential aspects of business such as marketing, finance, operations, and strategy.

One strength of the program is its emphasis on experiential learning. For example, you may have the opportunity to take part in case study analyses, internships, and even hands-on consulting projects for real businesses. This kind of exposure can be invaluable since it provides practical experience that complements the theoretical framework you'll learn in the classroom.

As an SDSU Business Administration major, you also have the chance to specialize in specific areas of business. There are twelve concentrations to choose from including Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, and even more specialized areas like Integrated Marketing Communications or Information Systems.

The faculty at SDSU are known for being knowledgeable and accessible. Many have relevant industry experience, which adds a valuable, real-world perspective to their teaching. You could think of them not just as professors, but as mentors who can provide guidance and networking opportunities.

Finally, the SDSU's Fowler College of Business organizes career fairs and hosts networking events to help students connect with potential employers. Their career services also provide resume building workshops, mock interviews and internship postings.

Remember, your experience will largely depend on how you take advantage of these resources and opportunities. Proactively seeking out internships, participating in student organizations, and networking with professors and fellow students can enrich your experience considerably. Hope this provides some insight into the Business Administration program at SDSU!
