Are there online college classes specifically for the military?

Hey there! I'm joining the military soon but I'm also looking for a way to start my degree online. Are there any platforms or colleges that offer online classes specifically for military personnel? Are they more flexible or supportive considering our schedules? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Many institutions appreciate the unique circumstances that military personnel face and offer programs tailored to suit your needs.

For instance, there are a number of "military-friendly" schools that offer online degree programs. These colleges often have resources like academic/career counseling for veterans or active members, tuition assistance, and have more flexible schedules to accommodate military duties. Two well-known universities that offer these kinds of programs are American Military University (AMU) and Central Texas College (CTC).

AMU is an accredited online institution specifically designed for military personnel. Most of their students are service members or veterans. They offer a huge variety of programs, from certificates to doctoral degrees. And they offer a book grant, which provides textbooks and/or e-books at no charge to students earning their undergraduate degrees.

Central Texas College is another option for those serving in the military. This school allows you to begin your degree program anytime, regardless of your location. They have robust online options and they offer maximum credit for your military education and training.

Do keep in mind though that you're not just limited to these. Other universities might have specific scholarships for military personnel or offer in-state tuition rates to Active Duty, National Guard, Reserves, Veterans, and their dependents, even if you're out-of-state.

Remember to verify the authenticity and accreditation status of any online program you're considering. Examine the curriculum, student support, and graduation rates to make sure you'll be getting a worthwhile education. The key is to find a school that not only provides the flexibility you need, but also aligns with your academic and career interests. Good luck with your decision!
